Char Magaz seeds are the composition of four seeds namely watermelon seeds, pumpkin seeds, cantaloupe seeds and almond. Char Magaz seeds are quite popular in making of  sweet dishes, curries, a type of cold drink in summer. It is also used as intoxicant. It is full of fatty acid, protein, vitamins and minerals. The Magaz seeds are full of protein, fatty acids, vitamin and minerals and known for many surprising health benefits, used in making sweet dish, sherbet, curries and other popular health drinks. Thandai Sardai Recipe| Spiced Chilled Almond Milk Drink 


Ingredient
  • 4 cups milk of your choice
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar
  • 15 almonds, soaked and peeled
  • 2 tablespoons Char Magaz
  • 2 tablespoons white poppy seeds
  • 5 black peppercorns
  • 3 cardamom pods, remove seeds from pod
  • ¼ teaspoon fennel seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon rose water
  • crushed pistachios, garnish
Instructions
  1. Soak almonds, Char Magaz and poppy seeds overnight.
  2. Drain the nuts/seeds and peel off almond skins.
  3. Grind the peppercorns, cardamom and fennel seeds in a spice or coffee grinder, set aside for now.
  4. In a blender, add the peeled almonds, poppy seeds, Char Magaz, coconut sugar, rosewater, spices and 1 cup almond milk to a blender and blend until very smooth.
  5. Add the rest of the almond milk and blend well.
  6. Strain the mixture in a double lined cheesecloth and refrigerate until nice and cold - garnish with crushed pistachios.
