Soya Bean Curry Recipe

Soya Bean Curry Recipe with step by step pictures. This is the popular gravy dish which is rich in protein and it tastes great with rice or roti.


INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup soya beans (Soaked in warm water for 8-10 hrs)
  • 2 potatoes medium (cut into cubes.)
  • 2 green chilly chopped finely
  • 1 medium onion chopped finely
  • 2 medium tomatoes chopped finely
  • 1 ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • ½ tbsp cumin powder
  • 1 ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Salt as per taste
  • Cilantro leaves to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Wash soya beans and add water in pressure cooker. Cook up to 7 to 8 whistles.
  2. Heat oil, add cumin seeds add green chilli. and onion, fry till they turn pink in colour. 
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and fry.
  4. Add Coriander powder , Cumin powder, Haldi powder, Garam masala, Red chilli powder and salt,
  5. Add tomatoes and cook on medium low flame until a nice consistency forms.
  6. Add the potatoes and cook for another couple of mins.
  7. Add cooked soya beans to the gravy and simmer on low gas for 10 minutes.
Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with chapatis or rice.
