Ballantine's Finest Blended Scotch

Ballantine’s Finest is the oldest recipe in the current range, created in 1910 by the Ballantine’s family. There are more than 40 malts and grains in this blend. These are carefully selected from 4 different iconic Scottish regions.

Distiller's Description
The blends light gold colour and unmistakable taste come from a complex mix of carefully selected malt and grain whiskies all aged for many a year in high quality casks.

Tasting Notes
Appearance : A light gold.
Nose       : Soft, elegant, heather honey aromas with a hint of spice.
Palate           : Well balanced subtle flavours with tones of milk chocolate, red apple and   vanilla.
Finish       : The sophisticated after-taste gives a fresh, floral and rounded glow.

The Process
Aging Process for Ballantine's Finest Blended Scotch
Every Scotch is distilled in Scotland and by law is aged for at least 3 years in oak barrels.
Blended scotches refer to a spirit that is composed of whiskies from more than 1 distillery.
Much of the flavors and characteristics of a whiskey are drawn up from the wood that the spirit is matured in. Oak is the wood used most often in the maturing of spirits due to its durability and high level of natural occurring oils. These oils, called vanillins, are the main component in imparting flavor on the spirit aged within the barrel.
